India's textile and clothing exports to the US have declined by over 14 per cent at $1.7 billion in the first four months of 2009 compared to the same period in 2008 due to slump in demand.
In 2008, the textiles industry had attracted FDI worth Rs 869.6 crore (Rs 8.69 billion).
